The polytunnel 18.75 m2 was created for amateurs of home cultivation. Ideal for beginners and more advanced allotment gardeners, easy to assemble and disassemble. An additional advantage is its resistance to corrosion, extremely low and high temperatures, so it does not have to be dismantled in winter.

The 3×2.15×6.25 m polytunnel with an area of 18.75 m2 is made of hot-dip galvanized pipes with a diameter of 25 mm and covered with UV-2 or UV-4 foil. The added value is also the fact that we can extend the tunnel by any number of curves, increasing the cultivation area at a convenient time. It is also possible to buy additional doors. This makes it easier to work in the tunnel (e.g. you can remove or carry out the crop on both sides) and further improves the ventilation of the garden tunnel when the door is open.

Side ventilation in the garden tunnel

Thanks to special lateral air circulation systems, operating without the need to open the door, we are able to provide the right temperature and humidity inside, which gives our plants optimal conditions for growth, and at the same time increases the chances of additional harvests during the year. The double-sided side ventilation system is raised by means of a tunnel crank. When the blinds are raised, there is an insect net in place of the foil, which prevents insects from entering the foil tent. Proper ventilation is especially important for plants that do not tolerate too high temperatures. Keeping the crop under cover also prevents the entry of animals or insects that cause damage to our farm.

Foil for multi-vegetation polytunnel

As a standard, a transparent UV-2 or UV-4 tunnel foil is used as a cover for a multi-vegetation polytunnel. UV-2 film is a two-season film (the term “season” is defined as half a year). Similarly, the four-season UV-4 film. Both tunnel films are made in COEX-3 technology and are resistant to any mechanical damage. Thanks to their properties, they allow nearly 95% of sunlight to reach the plants growing inside the foil tent. The film is attached to the polytunnel structure by means of solid plastic clips. The manufacturer of polytunnels Krosagro recommends removing the foil from the tunnel during the winter and storing it in a dry and safe place. However, if the foil coating is not to be removed, remember to regularly knock off snow on the foil.
